4 Comic Books to look forward to

1. Avengers #1 from Bendis/Romita Jr. - After the epic war over Asgard is over and the dust is settled Marvel is launching it's Universe into a different direction. In the vein of the Golden Age of Marvel all the major super heroes will be together again. All the division created by Civil War has been mended. Not the entire team is revealed but Iron Man, Captain America (Bucky), and Hawkeye will be there. Avengers #01 will be out in May.

2. Brightest Day - After the Darkest night comes the Brightest Day. What a great promo line. Geoff Johns has really set the DC world on fire with his great main and side stories for Darkest Night. After reading Blackest Night 07 Sinestro's future is still up in the air but it's very interesting to see how the eighth one will turn out. Hopefully Hal Jordan doesn't still the limelight from Sinestro like he always does. Knowing who the white lantern is ( Don't worry I won't spoil it.) The promo shot is even more interesting. Brightest day will be a 26-issue bi-weekly, year-long event. Brightest Day will be coming out in April 2010.

3. X-Men: Second Coming - Second coming is the third part of a trilogy starting with Messiah Complex and continuing with Messiah War. Marvel seems to be marketing Second coming as a good starting point to jump into for new comers. I will be one of those new comers since I haven't been reading the new X-men titles. I have always been a huge fan and I'm really glad to see Marvel pushing a X-men Title this hard. X-men : Second Coming should be out in March 2010.

4. Invincible #71 - The Viltrumite War is finally here! The huge war that has been teased ever since Invincible's Dad beat the living hell out of him seems to be finally starting. With each issue getting bloodier and bloodier issue 71 will probably atleast have 5 severed heads. That's only a guess mind you. Invincible 71 hits the shelf in March keep an eye out for exploding lips and intense mustaches.

Now I know people are thinking " Why is it only four when everyone else has ten or atleast ten. Is he a loser?" I only have four because anything else that seems interesting is tied to one of these four some way or another. So why bore you with side comics when I can give you the main ones and with that spark your interest to look for the others? About being a loser that's really a matter of opinion and I couldn't agree with you more. With that being said Marvel and Dc look like they're going in the same direction with a more mainstream positive line of comics. Don't worry if you're still bloodthirsty there will always be smaller publishers ripe for the picking.

Flash 01

After Flash's big return it only makes sense that he would get a new series. I'm kind of nervous about the new series because how can it really start off? The flash has such a big role in Blackest Night and he seems like such a major player in DC now having him fight everyday Central City villians might seem a tad boring. I really don't see anything majorly new from past Flash titles and from the previews it seems like even the villians are happy to see everything back to normal in Central City.

X-Men Teaser from Marvel

Marvel a promo shot for X-men. As most X-men fans will know Gold was a very important color in the X-men universe. The promo also has dripping blood down the X-men symbol which is interesting because the promos for the new X-men comic had Cyclops standing next to a grave and it stated "One will die". Could this be another sign that one of the major players in the X-men world is dying?

Preview for Seige #03

Right after I read siege 01 I wasn't too excited. Don't get me wrong I'm a sucker for huge events. Blackest Night got me back into reading DC. Last week I read Batman for the first time in over five years. I think I was one of five people that actually enjoyed all of Civil War. My favorite aspect of Civil war was the side stories. Punisher's War Journal and Wolverine were my favorite. To get back to siege I wasn't too fond of the first one. The main reason how it occured seems a bit sloppy but the second volume won me over. Sure the reasoning and the actual reason why asgard is there is a bit blurry but the action is great. I think Siege will keep getting better and better. I'm sad to see Norman lose his power but he had a good one. The previews of Siege 03 show the Avengers finally showing up. This is where the reunion of the true Avengers begin.

First look at DC'S War of the Supermen

A superhuman war fought with super strength and super speed will be a grave challenge for Superman. I'm sure not as "grave" as Blackest night was for him. Get it ? Okay it was awful but atleast I didn't say he wore his heart on his sleeve. War of Supermen is a collaboration of James Robinson and Sterling Gates. They will be handling the first chapter of the series. It will be DC's first comic for "Free Comic Book Day". You might know James Robinson from his work on Starman and The Golden Age. Sterling Gates is best known for his work on Supergirl and Action Comics. The combination should be a really interesting one. I wonder how far this series will really go since people might still have a hangover from Blackest Night.

Rapidshare banned from sharing Pirated Books

Most people that share files know the name Rapidshare. Rapidshare is based out of Switzerland and is one of the three main sites used on Filestube. This week courts decided to ban Rapidshare from distributing pirated books. This ban came from a case against rapidshare by many book publishers. The court ruled that they must monitor their site for anything copyrighted. If they do not comply they will be at risk for heavy fines and much more. This really isn't huge news because as we all know this is already illegal. It seems pretty redundant to me but with the ban on books this will have an impact on Comic book sharing online. Rapidshare like most companies that get slapped on the wrist will probably overreact and either close all together or ban all forms of books all together. As times passes I'm sure we will hear more and more about Rapidshare's ban on copyrighted books.
